You've got to hear this acapella choir sing four-part harmony--awesome

Since most conservative Mennonite and Amish churches sing only acapella hymns in their churches, it is not surprising to find that there are numerous Mennonite and Amish acapella choirs, quartets, and family singing groups.

Most of these groups sing in simple four-part harmony.

Altar of Praise Chorale is a mixed acapella group, comprised of some of the best male and female singers in the conservative Anabaptist world. Members of the group come from various Anabaptist backgrounds: Beachy Amish, Mennonite, and Charity Christian Fellowship.

Now, here are the lyrics to "Who Am I?"

The answer I may never know
   Who am I?

Oh, When I think of how He left His home in Glory
Came to dwell among the lowly such as I
To suffer shame and such disgrace on Mount Calvary
Take my place then I ask myself this question, "Who am I?"

Who am I that the King would bleed and die for?
Who am I that He would pray not my will, Thine Lord?
The answer I may never know, why He ever loved me so
But to an old rugged cross He'd go for who am I?

When I'm reminded of His words, I'll leave Him never
If you'll be true I'll give to you life forever
Oh, I wonder what I could have done to deserve God's only Son
To fight my battles until they're won for who am I?

Who am I that the King would bleed and die for?
Who am I that He would pray not my will, Thine Lord?
The answer I may never know, why He ever loved me so
But to an old rugged cross He'd go for who am I?
But to an old rugged cross He'd go for who am I?

GOODMAN

Scripture Text: Romans 5:6-8

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
KJV

If the words of this song, and the Scripture you have just read have touched your heart, and you would like to invite Jesus into your heart and life, may I urge you to fall on your knees, and do that just now.

The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, KJV).
