Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a missionary? What about a call to be a preacher of the Gospel to people in another part of the world with a different language and culture? Do you think you would be willing to obey God, take a step of faith, risk all to follow Jesus in an adventure of a lifetime?

Well, here's a book that will capture your attention. I promise up front that you will not be able to put it down until you have read it from cover to cover.

It's an easy read: captivating, entertaining, intriguing, inspiring, and much more.

It's the story about a very poor Italian youth in a Catholic home in a small town in Argentina who heard the call of God to be a preacher/missionary. He had to make a choice to leave father and mother and home to follow Jesus.

Here is an example of a youth who early on discovered the value of a rhema Word from the written Word, believed it, and acted upon that Word as he following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Miracle after miracle happens as he commits himself to several hours of prayer in the early morning hours of each day. God opened the door for Elvio to be involved in powerful crusades as an interpreter or translator for evangelist Tommy Hicks.

God provided for him to attend Holmes Bible College and study the Bible under Dr. Paul F. Beacham. God used many people to provide for his every need while in Bible college. He, himself, planned and preached in many crusades, tent meetings, church plantings, and revivals that went on for a year or more. He started Bible colleges, taught, trained, and mentored youth for ministry.

[Editor's commentary: I have know Elvio and June for many years. He has been in my home and my churches where I pastored. I have heard him speak in revivals, and meetings in the promotion of World Missions in Alabama and Georgia. I served on the World Missions Ministries Board for 8 years when he was an overseas supervisor. He is a brilliant communicator and knows how to get an English speaking congregation involved in his preaching. He will often ask this question: "How do you say so and so?" It is my hunch that he knows the answer already for he is a master of the English language, but does so to get you to help him in preaching. I believe that this is a clever way to get his audience involved with him. You will never go to sleep when he is preaching.

I remember once in a rally in Alabama he told the story of the barking dog. His neighbor took the dog to a doctor. He asked, "How do you say the name of a doctor who specializes in animals?" Brother E. L. Shirey, Sr., shouted out loud, "A dog doctor!"  Well, that brought the house down, and we were all involved in his stories.

Dr. Frank Tunstall, superintendent of the Heartland Conference, guided Elvio through the entire process of writing this book. Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr., wrote a magnificent forward to the book. One must not forget that June, a gifted writer, teacher, and public speaker guided him in choosing the right words to use.

Melvine has read the book, too, and can heartily recommend it to you as well.

When you call, please remember to tell Elvio or June that you read about this special offer in Hugh's News.

May God bless the sale of this book. It should be a best seller. Currently it is the number one best seller in Hugh's News Best Seller List. I consider Elvio and June to be special friends.]
