I believe it was some time in April of this year that Jack Shaw, a successful businessman of Greenville, SC, and a friend of mine since college days at Emmanuel College, introduced me to a website where I could listen to an interview with Oral Roberts that was made shortly before his death, on December 15, 2010. It is an amazing interview and I learned a great deal more than I had ever known about Oral. I learned that Oral's grandfather was born in Wales. That is where my Dad's father, John Thomas Morgan, was born. That caught my attention. I learned how Oral came to accept the fact that his son, Richard, needed to leave Oral Roberts University, move on, and fulfill the call of God upon his life to develop his ministry as an evangelist, which includes the healing of the sick, as well as miracles.
The oral history website Voicesofoklahoma.com has been officially launched. Dedicated to oral history, this site offers the opportunity to hear stories of Oklahoman's and told for the most part by the primary source. Hearing their voices draws us closer to these outstanding individuals. The website offers opportunities for both listening and reading.

May I encourage you to listen to this 45 minute or so interview. You will be blessed as I was. I have always loved Oral Roberts. His ministry in Birmingham, AL, in 1950, the year I graduated from high school, deeply touched my life. I knew in my heart if God could heal Oral Roberts of stuttering, He could do the same for me. I did not receive an instant healing like Oral, but my speech professor, Dr. Sara Lowrey, at Furman University, took an interest in me, diagnosed my problem. She taught me the phonetic alphabet which I had never learned in my educational process. Today, I am healed of stuttering.
I don't know what your handicap is, but I am convinced God can and will heal you. Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, not only died for our sins, but received stripes in His body for our healing. You can claim your healing today in the Name of Jesus. He is reaching out to you this very hour. God is a good God, and He still heals today.
