When I began doing this newsletter 13 years ago, I had only one purpose. I wanted to effectively communicate with our IPHC military chaplains throughout the United States and around the world.
Little did I know that AOL (America On Line) would eventually terminate me. They shut me down without allowing me to have a defense. They did not follow the due process of the law, and so, what seemed to be a disastrous action on the part of AOL, turned out to be the best thing that could happen.
Mark Green of Spring, TX, the top salesman for Channel 55 in Houston purchased a Web Domain for Hugh's News. Then, J. Brian Williams came along side to develop my first website and a new format for a newsletter. It was in 2009, that Bill Cox, Mel Tinney, and Seth Cain of Martus Solutions offered to help me produce a better Hugh's News. As a result of that relationship you are now the recepients of a professionally done website and newsletter format. I call this God's Favor.
In reading the Book of Esra I have noticed that over and over again that "the gracious Hand of of God was upon him." That is what I want for my life, and I pray that God's gracious Hand will be upon you life.
God has given us over 5,000 readers of Hugh's News. That is a God-thing.
It seems logical to me that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we can reach another 5,000 readers overnight. How can that happen?
It can happen if each subscriber reaches one other person--a friend or a relative, associate or a neighbor--to enlist them as a subscriber to Hugh's News. So, when you conceptualize that plan or vision, reaching 10,000 readers can be a piece of cake. Of course, we want God to be in it. We only want what God wants for our lives and ministries. I want to proclaim that I believe that it is Gods will.
If you are being blessed by this newsletter, and you place a value on it, doesn't it make sense that your friends and relatives may be blessed by getting the news that is produced by Hugh's News.
To register, one only has to go to my website: www.hughsnews.com, and click on Subscribe. It will take you to another window where all you have to do is to give your name and e-mail address. Each person has to subscribe individually. This requirement is because of Spam Laws. My e-mail disttribution company, Mail Chimp, is looking out for me and you. We have no intent to violate any laws. We desire to be in compliance with the law so we can continue our ministry of Christian journalism to you.
I am composing this newsletter from the business office of Hampton Inn in Dunn, NC. The two Dell computers here have the latest version of Microsoft Word. My laptop has the old 2003 Microsoft version. I will need to have that installed in my laptop when I travel. That will be one of my projects when I return home late Tuesday. We will leave Falcon immeadiately after the Harvest Train program.
