Swails, Jr., and told me that had it not been for Hugh's News they would not have known about the death and funeral arrangements for Brother John Swails. The coverage we have given to the hospitalization, death, and funeral arrangements for Brother John W. Swails, Jr. has been exceptional. Today, you will get a copy of the eulogy that the Rev. Dr. David Hopkins wrote and gave orally at the funeral service. The letter of condolence from Presiding Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr. is worth so much to all of us for it reveals the heart, soul, and compassion of our general superintendent who has a deep love for all our people. There are other tributes like that of Dr. Leroy Baker and Dr. John Hedgepeth, and many others who took the time to write and make this edition of Hugh's News very special for all.

In these days of economic decline with so many people without a job even lost their homes, have you ever thought about giving with faith in a time of famine and difficulty?
Your contribution, if given in faith, may be a shining example of God's ability not only to provide for Hugh's News, but Who can meet all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus our Lord. These days of lack can reproduce the kind of Isaac-like Faith faith who sowed into the Lord's vineyard, even in years of famine (Genesis 26:12). The Scripture says Isaac reaped a hundredfold return.
Now, I cannot guarantee you what kind of harvest you will reap, but I do know that Jesus said, "Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together shall men give unto your bosom" (Luke 6:38).
May I encourage you to give as God may direct you. Your tithes belong in your church. But, we will receive an offering above that, provided you are directed by God to give to this ministry.
