What others have said about Hugh Morgan's award as the 2011 Centurion of the Year

Retired Army Chaplain (Colonel) Herman Keizer

Dear Hugh,

This is a very special award given to you by your colleagues in evangelical ministry. As such it is a testimony to your wonderful spirit of respect for all faith communities, yet with a fervent love for the Savior whom you profess in faith and feel called to point to as Savior and Lord.

I will never forget your gracious acceptance of my offer to lead NCMAF in opening prayer. That proved to be an historical moment in Endorser history. A prayer in the middle of a controversy concerning prayer. You demonstrated for all of those present that one can blend the prophetic and the pastoral, especially if one has the courage.

God Bless you and your lovely wife, Melvine, tonight. I wish I could be with you and bless you in person. I know you understand the grand humility one has when he speaks God's Blessing to God's people.

May God's Grace and Peace be your as we join God's voice and say "Well done Good and Faithful servant."

In Christ,
Herm Keizer

Presiding Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr.

Dear Dr. Morgan:

Greetings in the name that has been exalted above all names, Jesus Christ.

As Presiding Bishop of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, it gives me great pleasure indeed to extend to you my heartiest congratulations on your recent honor of being named the Chairman of the National Association of Evangelicals Chaplains Commission.(NAECC). The International Pentecostal Holiness Church has long recognized your exceptional leadership ability and is delighted that other noteworthy organizations are doing the same. Your promotion to this prestigious position not only honors your exceptional performance as a chaplain in the armed forces of the United Staes but also brings continued enhancement to the image of the denomination in the hearts and minds of your peers.

The IPHC is thankful to God for the gifts He has given you to invest in the King's vineyard. As a result of your diligent labors, you have been favored to serve as Chairman of two Military endorser Conferences, as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces (NCMAF), and recently you received the prestigious Centurion Award. What a lifetime of accomplishment! You have served God, man and the church in an exemplary manner and have made the IPHC very proud of its native son!

Again, congratulations on this milestone accomplishment as Chairman of the NAECC.

May God continue to pour out His favor upon your life!

Sincerely,

Dr. Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr.
