We need more subscribers to Hugh's News, and get back those who no longer recieve it

Over and over again, I meet former subscribers to Hugh's News who tell me they are no longer receiving my newsletter. They often tell me that we dropped them.

I can assure you we have not deliberately dropped any subscriber. It may be that in the evolution of this news service that we inadvertently lost a subscriber. That is a painful fact for me for I would not want that to happen to anyone. You are all important to me and this ministry of Christian journalism and news.

Other scenarios may be that a subscriber may have changed e-mail addresses without registering again to get Hugh's News. There is absolutely no way we can know that you have a new e-mail address, unless you go to our website, www.hughsnews.com and register. We only ask two questions: 1. Your Name 2. Your e-mail address.

In the early days of this newsletter, I personally registered every subscriber when I was on AOL. However, AOL terminated me and my newsletter because they claimed I have violated Spam Laws, which was not true. I could not defend myself since I was dealing with bureaucrats and not people in executive leadership.

Because of Spam Laws, the company that sends out our newsletter in mass distribution, Mail Chimp, requires that every person must subscribe from his or her own computer. Therefore, I can no longer do register any new subscriber or anyone who wants to come back to this newsletter. It takes a lot of hard work, long hours, many telephone calls, and e-mails to get the news stories correct. I never print anything without permission. I am not sure I could ever go back to registering my new subscribers. That takes more time and work than I am able to give. I do not receive a salary. This is my ministry to you and the body of Christ worldwide, and unless God provides for me, I will not make it. However, I am a man of faith, and He has brought me to this point in time by faith in His Word. He has never failed me.

What ever the reason that you are not receiving Hugh's News, we want you back as a valued subscriber to Hugh's News.

It was at the Homecoming at Emmanuel College that I saw one of my former classmates and he told me that he was no longer getting Hugh's News. I told him how to register, but I have not seen that registration come through from my webmaster.

Not only do I need former subscribers to Hugh's News to come back, but I need your help in enlisting new subscribers to Hugh's News.

Everyone I know has at least one friend who may benefit and enjoy this publication that comes into your home, office, workplace or recreational area. Why not enlist your friends to join some 5,000 other readers? We eventually want to have 10,000 readers around the world.

It was Dr. Vinson Synan who wrote the following about me and Hugh's News:

"No church ever had a more loyal son than the Pentecostal Holiness church has in Hugh Morgan. He has taken online journalism to new heights. I hope every one of his e-mails can be preserved for the Church archives. It is a current and newsy feature that keeps us together as a church family.

"I have worked with Hugh for decades, especially when he was President of Southwestern College in Oklahoma City. I also remember him for nominating me to serve as General Secretary of the PHC in Roanoke in 1973. For better or for worse, this began a 12 year period of leadership for me in the IPHC. Also Hugh and Melvine and Carol and I were married on the exact same day (but in separate cities), August 13, 1960. God bless you Hugh and also Hugh’s News."

You can help me with this recruiting campaign. Together we can make a difference in this world.

Thank you for your help.
