Videos you should see and hear

It is not often that I will share with you a video or even a link to something else. However, I have two items of interest. One is a sermon in a little over a minute by a woman. I am confident you will enjoy it and get a lot of good from it.

Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUQYJ77qa50>

It was sent to me by Dawn Hennington, the wife of retired Army Chaplain (Major) Harvey Hennington. They currently reside in Missouri on their retirement ranch.

The next is an interpretation of the Pledge of Allegiance by Red Skelton. This clip was sent to me by Donald Watson of Greenville, SC. I did not know Red Skelton hailed from Vincennes, Indiana. My roommate at Asbury College in 1956-1957 was Carl Ricks whose dad owned a large farm there. I visited there at least twice during that year at Asbury College. We, along with some other students and two pastors, went to Cuba in the summer of 1957 for two weeks on a missions tour to the western part of the island known as Pinar del Rio. It was a great venture and a wonderful experience. I had been to Cuba before when I was in the Marine Corps Band at Quantico, VA, in 1955. We went to Havana for the inauguration of Fulgencio Batista. The State Department sent our band and drum and bugle corps for that week of celebrations and a parade. We stayed at the famous Plaza Hotel.

Watch this clip from 1969, his interpretation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Red Skelton--from his television show in 1969. Just think, he said this on his television show in 1969, and really had no clue it would ever come about. What a wonderful and worthwhile clip to watch and share!

I hope you will enjoy these two clips half as much or more as I have enjoyed them.
