The Rev. Mr. Philip List, Sr. died Wednesday afternoon, May 23, 2012, at his home near Princeton, NC.

Rev. List faithfully served IPHC World Missions in Africa, and the fruit of his ministry continues.

He is survived by his wife, Gailya, two daughters and two sons. His daughter, Sharon, and her husband, Ron Wooten, serve as Regional Directors for WMM in East Africa.

Funeral details will be posted when that information is available.

[Editor's comment: Philip List and I were classmate at Holmes Bible College, and both of us commuted to Furman University as students. I have known Gailya Williams List since 1952 when we were students at Emmanuel College. Later I attended the National Pentecostal Holiness Church in Washington, DC, when I was a young Marine at Quantico, VA, Gailya had moved to DC and was attending the church too. Later, Gailya and I both attended Holmes Bible College. That is where Gailya met Philip, or Philip met Gailya.

Philip and Gailya are first class Christians and truly Pentecostal. I know that Philip was a man of prayer, full of faith and the Holy Spirit. His parents were missionaries before him, and I had the privilege to meet them when we were at Holmes Bible College.

May the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, bring peace and comfort to this outstanding IPHC family.]
