Update Report of Retired Navy Chaplain Russell Gunter

A report about Russell Gunter from Bishop Wesley Russ, Superintendent, Mid-Atlantic Conference:

We just returned from Bethesda Navy Medical Center and visiting with Russell and Daphany Gunter (Friday, September 17, 2010. He is out of ICU as of noon today and seems to be doing very well. His color is good and he had lunch today, so they will be getting him up soon to start with his physical therapy. He really appreciates all the calls and e-mails from friends and most of all the prayer.

Right now the doctor says he will probably be able to go home Monday. Of course, he would like to go today, but he needs a few more days of close supervision.

[Note: Bishop Russ had reported on Thursday that the surgery for Russell Gunter went well, they did the triple by-pass, and were able to repair the heart valve. Thank you for all of your prayers.]
