Update on Missionary Statesman Philp List on Friday, December 2, 2011

The latest word from Gailya Williams List is that Philip List says that this is his best day.

He is in ICU for about 2 more days here at Wake Medical Hospital, 3000 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh NC. He is sitting up a bit in bed and can take a little ice or water today.

Thank you so much for your prayers. Please continue holding him up in prayer. Thank you so much.

Friday 1:39 p.m.

Then, at 9:59 p. m. Sue Williams wrote the following:

Hi Hugh,

So glad I could be of assistance in some small way.

Sylvia Williams Swails, the widow John Swails, returned home today to get a few things done here in Greenville while Ruthe Williams Brookshire, widow of Joseph Brookshsire, a former Navy chaplain for the IPHC came from Georgia to stay until Sunday.

Today was a good day per Philip. Sylvia says he has his color back and is talking just to talk and talking a lot. No one is having to encourage him--ha, ha.

The doctors removed the stints today [between bladder and kidney]. He is still complaining about the chest pain--most likely from the "Code Blue" experience. Time will tell.

He was given ginger ale today--the first time he has had anything to swallow since Tuesday. He just might get jello tonight and looking forward to it.

All for now. Be Blessed.

Sue Willams

[Editor's Comment: It takes a team of volunteers to put together Hugh's News. I am grateful to Daneel le Roux Greenville, NC, who initially informed me about the serious nature of Philip List following his operation. I communicated with Ruthe Williams Brookshire, and finally from Sue Williams a sister in law of the Williams sisters--Gailya, Sylvia, and Ruthe.]
