The Value of Hugh's News to the IPHC and the body of Christ worldwide by Dr. Vinson Synan

No church ever had a more loyal son than the Pentecostal Holiness church has in Hugh Morgan. He has taken online journalism to new heights. I hope every one of his e-mails can be preserved for the Church archives. It is a current and newsy feature that keeps us together as a church family.

I have worked with Hugh for decades, especially when he was President of Southwestern College in Oklahoma City. I also remember him for nominating me to serve as General Secretary of the PHC in Roanoke in 1973. For better or for worse, this began a 12 year period of leadership for me in the IPHC. Also Hugh and Melvine and Carol and I were married on the exact same day (but in separate cities), August 13, 1960. God bless you Hugh and also Hugh’s News.

[Vinson Synan, Ph. D., Former Assistant General Superintendent of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, Interim President of Southwestern College (now Southwestern Christian University), and retired Dean, School of Divinity, Regent university. He is the leading IPHC Church historian, as well as the Charismatic/Pentecostal world. He is a prolific writer. His latest book, Eyewitness Remembers the Century of the Holy Spirit.]

Here is a photo of the book cover for his book, Eyewitness Remembers the Century of the Holy Spirit.  I have read it from cover to cover, and remember so many of the experiences Dr. Vinson Synan has had in his lifetime. I am 77 years old, and I was born in the IPHC and reared in this denomination. I have known all of the bishops of the IPHC since Bishop Joseph Hillery King. When I was six years old he stayed in our home in Birmingham for a conference meeting. I was in awe of this great man of God. I sat at his feet to listen to every thing he had to say.
