Good morning,
I am Roslin Balla and I am from India. My parents are missionaries to Bangladesh with the IPHC. At one of the meetings of the Mid-Atlantic conference, my dad saw President Stewart’s advertisement about Emmanuel College. He was very excited at the thought of sending me to the United States, especially to an IPHC college. He shared this with me and we have been praying since. However, finances were a big challenge for us.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank President Stewart, the scholarship committee and the IPHC leadership for the Founders’ Scholarship. I would not have been able to come to college in the US without all this help. It’s not just a dream come true, but a definite answer to prayer.
I am truly grateful to God and to IPHC, especially to the Women’s Ministries for this scholarship. Therefore, I will make the best use of this opportunity to accomplish all the tasks that God has for me here, and glorify His name at EC. Thank you.
[Editor's Note: I am grateful to Beth Ward, secretary to the President of Emmanuel College and the Vice Preident for Academic Affairs, for sending me this wonderful testimony that was given by Roslin Balla at the Feast of Ingathering at Emmanuel College on October 1, 2010. Melvine and I were present to hear her testimony. You can easily see the value of investing in young men and women. Investing in your youth is one of the greatest investments you can ever make. It will bring multiple returns for years to come. Our IPHC students need our financial support. I trust you local church has a scholarship program for your youth to attend one of our colleges.]
