[Editor's Comment: Our hearts go out to the Synan family. We offer our condolences and prayers for the family. It is my understanding that one of Maurice's sons who lives in Missouri was able to get to the hospital to see his father before he passed away.

I wish to express my gratitude to Judith Milner for notifying me of the death of Maurice Synan via e-mail on Tuesday evening, January, 4, 2011. I subsequently spoke with Vinson Synan by phone Tuesday evening. I wish to thank Vinson for sending me this obituary and the funeral arrangements. It is always a team effort to get the news, and I know you would like to know all about it.

As I recall, Joe Synan (Joseph Alexander Synan, Jr.) introduced me to Maurice when I was the senior pastor at Richmond, VA.

I wish to express my thanks to God for the Synan family. What a lasting impact this family has made upon the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. They are all gifted individuals and I am grateful to God that He allowed me to know many of them.]
