On Thursday morning, November 17, 2011, Bishop Frank Tunstall, superintendent of the Heartland Conference (formerly the Oklahoma Conference), sent me an e-mail informing me that Theda Pennington, wife of the Rev. Dr. James Pennington, called him and requested prayer for her husband who is in critical condition in the Oklahoma City Select Specialty Hospital (3524 NW 56th) adjacent to Deaconess Hospital with a life threatening staph infection.
Jim, as we call him, served as administrative assistant to Bishop J. Floyd Williams back in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and served as pastor of our North Hollywood Pentecostal Holiness Church, and conference superintendent in California. He has been a faithful member of the Heartland Conference for the last five years.
James and Theda Pennington have been loyal friends and supporters of Hugh's News for a number of years. In fact, they sent contributions to Hugh's News, Inc. every month for several years. In recent months they have moved back to Oklahoma City.
I called and talked with Yolanda Lynch, Jim and Theda's daughter, and she said that the doctors are doing all they can to make her father well. She gave me permission to make you aware of her father's sickness and request your prayers of faith that will surely touch the throne of grace on his behalf.
Let us join together in a concert of prayer believing God for a miracle of healing James Pennington who is a highly capable and dedicated servant of the Lord.
