Many people have asked about the budget for Hugh’s News, Inc., the non-profit evangelistic organization where contributions can be made with tax exempt status.
This electronic news ministry and service started 14 years ago with only 13 active duty military chaplains in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, plus a couple of VA hospital chaplains, scattered all across the United States and around the world. The original purpose was to keep them informed, inspired, connected to the church, and given assurance that the editor and his wife were praying for them, their spouses, family, and the men and women whom they were serving in the military. He wanted them to know that somebody loved them and cared for their welfare.
From that meager beginning God has raised Hugh’s News up to reach more than 5,000 readers around the world in 22 time zones.
It is true that little is much, if God is in it. Five loves and two small fish are never enough until a lad gives them to Jesus, and He blessed the food given, multiplied it and fed over 5,000 men, notwithstanding the women and children—so there could have been close to 15,000 people who were fed and satisfied out in the desert, and in the end, there were 12 baskets full of fish and bread left over for each of the apostles to get a basket a piece.
