[Editor's Comment: I have known Sybil Rousseau Cates and her husband, Princeton Cates, all of my life. Sybil and Princeton spent many years of their lives in ministry as missionaries to Hong Kong. Sybil was born in Franklin Springs, GA. They have left a legacy that will long be remembered. Many precious Chinese people have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ through their efforts.

It has been my privilege to go to Hilton Head, SC, almost every year to the Chief of Army Chaplains Senior Leadership Training Conferences since I became the director of Chaplains Ministries, IPHC. Until Princeton and Cybil moved up to New Jersey to be close to their son, Chris, I saw them almost every year and we would have a dinner (supper) meal with them. They are loving people, and Melvine and I always enjoyed our visits with them in their home or in a restaurant.

I am indebted to Doris Wong, a close friend of the Cates family, who now resides in Everett, Washington, for calling me by phone Tuesday evening, September 20, 2011, and sending this information about Sybil's unexpected death. I understand that she had had surgery and died following it. Had not Doris informed me, I may not have ever known about Sybil's death.

Our hearts go out to Princeton and Chris and their family--Eleanor Cates Rousseau and Ruby Cates of Newnan, GA, and Sybil's sister, Evelyn Shealy of Franklin Springs, GA, in their time of grief.  May the God of all comfort bring them His presence and peace.

Revelation 14:13

Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
