Stephanie Morgan will have her second course of chemothrapy this afternoon

It's been a tough week for Stephanie Morgan, Hugh and Melvine Morgan's daughter.

Last Friday morning, November 4, 2011, she received her first injection of chemotherapy via a smart port in the upper part of her left arm. She did well and did not get sick. She was able to rest at her home throughout the weekend so she could be ready to go back to school to teach on Monday.

However, she has continued to have a great deal of pain due to the effects of the cancer in her liver. She has had to take high-powered pain medication along with prescribed medicine for nausea.

Then, she apparently picked up a virus from some of her students where nausea and vomiting is going throughout the school and community. She will have to take extra precautions to keep her hands clean, and one way is to use a hand sanitizer often.

Stephanie had to leave school in early afternoon on Tuesday, and stayed home on Wednesday. However, she plans to go to school today, Friday, November 10, to teach her precious 22 kindergarteners. She is a dedicated teacher and will give it her best efforts in spite of pain and suffering. Teaching and nurturing children is her calling and the gift God has given her.

Melvine and I, along with Greg, our son, humbly ask that you pray for Stephanie's healing. If we ever needed God to intervene and heal our daughter it is now. We strongly believe in God and the healing that is offered to us in Jesus Christ. I believe God has a wonderful future for Stephanie and that He will fulfill her aspirations and dreams. Nothing is impossible when we put our trust in God.

Here is a Scripture for healing that I am claiming for Stephanie:

1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24,

“May God Himself, the God Who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One Who called you is completely dependable. If He said it. He will do it!" (The Message, Eugene H. Peterson).

Then, in closing, I want to declare my faith in God and His Word on behalf of Stephanie Ellen Morgan:

God’s Word is at work in Stephanie's body,
Driving out all manner of sickness and disease,
And creating in her body a perfect cure,
For the Glory of God,
The good of Stephanie,
And for a testimony of God’s compassion, love and mercy, His healing power,
and His Saving grace!

Your friend in all seasons,

Hugh H. Morgan
