I am happy to announce to all of my Hugh's News readers, that our daughter, Stephanie Ellen Morgan, did exceptionally well when she received her first treatment of chemotherapy last Friday, November 4. She did not get sick, and was fine.
We want to thank you for your prayers for Stephanie. We are deeply grateful for your prayers. I am copying and pasting your e-mails, and printing them in a Word document so she can read them. It means more than words can tell you what your letters have meant to her, as well as Melvine and me.
I have endeavored to respond to every e-mail you have written. It has been a pleasure to render this service to Stephanie.
Stephanie plans to teach all week. This week, she will have her chemotherapy treatment on Thursday, November 10, in the afternoon. That way, they tell her, she will be able to teach on Thursday as well as Friday. So, it is working out for her.
Stephanie has twenty-two of the most precious kindergarteners in the known world. She loves everyone of them, prays daily for them, and she gives them everything they need to know, and she uses music to teach them. She was born to teach, and God has gifted her as a teacher. She has prepared educationally to do so.
She is blessed with a wonderful para pro who is a gift from God. She anticipates the needs of the class and the things that Stephanie needs for her to do. In addition, she has a number of colleagues who are Christians, and her principal is a Christian. This is in Statham Elementary School in Barrow County. It is so refreshing that the environment in the school is one of love and acceptance of each and every student and one that is conducive to learning. The emphasis is on the children and their needs.
