Stephanie wishes to express her sincere gratitude to all of you for your continued prayers for her in her time of great need for a healing miracle.
As you know, God touched her in December 2001, when she was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer. They gave her no hope, and did not expect her to leave the hospital alive. The tumor was not in her breasts, but on her spine. They removed the tumor, but it had spread to the bones. She went through chemo and radiation therapy, and God used that means or delivery system to bring healing and health to Stephanie.
We prophesied to those bones like Ezekiel did the valley of dry bones. Various tests, MRI's, PET Scans, and CAT scans reveal new bone structure filling up the holes left when the cancer died. A recent bone density test revealed that her bones are strong. A miracle.
Stephanie never lost her hair or her breasts. That was a prayer request God miraculously answered for her.
In spite of intense pain and nausea this week she has been teaching every day. She has 22 kindergarteners she dealy loves. She is a God-called and gifted teacher, and a nurturer of children.
She is having to take Friday off at school to receive the chemotherapy which is scheduled for 10:50 a. m. today, Friday, November 4. She would prefer to have it after 2 p. m. on Friday so she can teach her children. She has a wonderful para pro, and has obtained a qualified substitute teacher for her class.
She is to take chemotherapy once a week for three weeks and then be off a week, and start all over again.
Please remember Stephanie in your prayers today.
[Editor's Comment: I had a cataract removed from my left eye on Tuesday, November 1, at the Outpatient Clinic at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. Dr. Victor A. Crosby, an ophthalmologist, did my surgery. It didn't take very long, and it was a piece of cake for me. I never felt any pain as I was wide awake but sedated, and the staff of nurses, technicians, and the anesthesiologist as well as administrative support personnel were terrific. I drove to the hospital, but Melvine drove me home.
In the afternoon, as I was resting in my La Z Boy recliner, Dr. Crosby called to check on me. Wow, what a great surprise to have a doctor call at my home. Outstanding--Unusual--Caring.
Wednesday, I had the bandage and nose guard removed and I can see clearly. He prepared the in-ocular lens in this left eye so I can read without glasses. My right eye is focused so I can see at a distance. So, I can see near and far, or far and near.
I read again the story of the blind man at Jericho who heard that Jesus was passing by. Let me quote that story for you just now:
Luke 18:35-43
Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. 36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. 37 So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 And he cried out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, 41 saying, "What do you want Me to do for you?"
He said, "Lord, that I may receive my sight."
42 Then Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well." 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
NKJV
It is my desire to receive all God has for me, to glorify Him and give Him praise. What does it mean to you to receive your healing? Are you asking Jesus to heal you? You know you can. He is our Healer, and with His stripes we are healed.
Here's the Scripture: 1 Peter 2:24-25, "Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed" (NKJV).
