Special Word from Hugh H. Morgan, CEO, Founder, and Editor of Hugh's News

At the outset of the New Year of 2011, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for being a subscriber to Hugh's News.

I am amazed that so many people allow me to come into your homes, offices and work places with my newsletter.

This is my thirteen year of publishing Hugh's News. I want to give thanks to God for granting me this privilege and giving me the ability to produce this news service to some 5,000 readers all across the United States, and around the world. It is a humbling experience for me to realize that God has placed His gracious hand upon my life and ministry, and granted me favor and success.

We were able to finish 2010 in the Black. To survive and even thrive in such economic depressed times as we have experienced is nothing less than a miracle. I want to thank all of you who have given to this ministry as an expression of your appreciation for this electronic newsletter ministry. Your gifts have greatly encouraged me and enabled me to keep on going forward. In addition, I want to thank the leadership of Martus Solutions, LLC, for their professional partnership in giving us a professionally designed website and newsletter format, as well as my board of directors to whom I am accountable and who provide constant guidance and advice. And we give thanks to God for His abundant blessings. To God be given all the glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving.

I really liked the article Bill Cox, CEO of Martus Solutions, LLC., wrote on "Seven Keys to Managing Church Finances Effectively" that we printed in a recent Hugh's News, especially the Scripture he quoted:

John 15:8, “This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples” (NIV ). "A very important element of obedience to this exhortation is spending ministry money in a way that maximizes fruit-bearing" (Bill Cox).

A Scripture God gave me as a Rhema Word when I was in my first year of seminary is John 15:16, "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you." Therefore, I truly believe that God has chosen me and ordained me to go forth and bear fruit that will remain. Long before I was officially ordained by my church, the IPHC, God had already ordained me. What my church leaders did for me was to affirm what God had decreed. But, I needed that affirmation and ordination by my church. I call that process accountability and submitting to God-given authority.

I believe God's primary plan for Hugh's News is for evangelism--leading people to understand the Gospel and how they may be saved by placing their trust in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not just about going to heaven, although that is a reward, but being able to walk daily with Jesus in victory and with joy.

If you want to join me in that worthy goal, please write me and let me know:
