It's after midnight here on the east coast. I am staying up late to meet the deadline to have this newsletter ready to be distributed by our mass mailing company, MailChimp, on Thursday morning, May 5, 2011.

Although Bishop Frank Tunstall had sent his State of the Conference manuscript earlier on Wednesday, I didn't read it until Wednesday night. It blew me away as I read it. I was able to detect greatness in his address to his conference, and to verify Bishop Talmadge Gardner's assessment of Tunstall's magnificent address last weekend at the Heartland Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

It is my opinion, for what it worth, that this is a classic document that should be studied and digested by all of our conference superintendents. There is no doubt about it, Frank Tunstall is a gifted writer, speaker, and leader.

The recurring theme: "We have hope and a future," rings out like a clarion call throughout the message. I could hear the passion and pathos coming from the heart of Frank Tunstall. I believe this message was heard in heaven, too.

I felt it was most appropriate for you my readers of Hugh's News. I want you to have the best literature available, and what you get here at Hugh's News & Commentary you may not be able to get anywhere else.
