In an e-mail from Sheila Sellers she wrote the following account and glowing testimony of the success of her surgery:
"Thank you so much for the prayers. I will keep this short because I got out of the hospital today and am worn out.
"I had specific prayer requests and God came through on every one of them.
"God caused the surgery to go better than the doctor had expected. After he said he expected (and told his team of doctors) to be in the O.R. until 5 o'clock, but got finished about 1:30 p. m. I told him that I had prayed that it would go better than expected. I told him we had people all over the world praying for him and his team. He acknowledged that he said a couple of his own prayers.
"He also said he would not check the wound until one to two weeks but today, before I was released, he decided he wanted to look at the incision and said it looked great!
"God answered the prayer for the nerve not to be touched and my leg has good mobility (as much as it can at this point in recovery). The bone fragments came together easily and he did not have to do as much repair or use as much bone graft as he expected to.
There was no damage to my meniscus or ACL.
"It has been a very painful process, but God has held me in the palm of His Almighty Hand!
"I have had my wonderful parents and in-laws helping Randy take care of me. My wonderful children were able to come to Enid to be with me for the surgery.
"Our military family has been so wonderful with their support and meals. This is a time in my life when I truly know God is carrying me and giving me favor.
"Well, my medication and my pain call me to stop typing so I will sign off.
"Again, thank you for sharing my requests with your wonderful readers."

[Editor's Comment: Melvine and I have prayed earnestly for Sheila, her surgery and recovery. We know that you have, too. We praise the Lord for this extraordinary testimony. When I was growing up in the church, we regularly heard testimonies that bolstered our spirits and strengthened our faith in Almighty God. I believed He could do anything. I still believe that. I believe He not only can and is willing, but He desires to heal our bodies.
Melvine said today, "Shelia will be just fine. She is a positive person, energetic, and courageous." I agree. I wanted you to hear Sheila's testimony by reading it. It really touched me and helped to make my day much better.]
