Resurrection Change Continues

Some Passes, Some Lasts

All the immediate happenings on that first Easter did not become perpetual, but the resurrection remains. All the immediate happenings on Easter, 2010, did not become perpetual but the re-deeming and healing presence and power of the Crucified and Risen Christ remains!

When Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected there were awesome natural phenomena. The sun eclipsed! The earth quaked! What a shaking! Those were happenings. There were more. Graves opened and many dead saints came to life again and walked the streets of Jerusalem. The Bible says so.

Lasting Phenomena

There was more. The heavy impenetrable veil, the curtain, that separated the people from the closest holy presence of God ripped from top to bottom. All this accompanied the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus’ resurrection was not a resuscitation. Others who were raised from the dead still died, but not Christ! He was changed and that change continues. He IS risen!

Some Hope in Passing Events

Some “shallow saints” seem to anchor their hopes and expectations on obvious happenings of the moment and miss the continuing change God affects.

Saints rising from their graves because Jesus Christ rose were part of the first fruits of the Great Resurrection of the dead when Jesus comes again. In fact, it happened then on the morning of the Feast of First Fruits when the devout Jews were doing their religious duty.

The ripped veil in the temple reminds us that the people’s open access via the crucified Christ into the very presence of Almighty God continues.

The Resurrection Remains

The Resurrection Change continues! Because Christ IS risen He is. He welcomes you and me into all the provisions He purchased and acquired in His death and resurrection!

Because He lives we live also!
