Presiding Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr. requests prayer for his mother-in-law

Presiding Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr. reports today that his 94-year-old mother-in-law, Mrs. Bessie H. Reese, suffered a fall during the Thanksgiving holidays. He said that she broke her hip, elbow, and several fingers. Mrs. Reese underwent surgery on Saturday and they are just waiting for the healing process to do whatever it is going to do.

The prognosis is not encouraging for either a quality or quantity of life; but, we live daily in hope.

Nan is really weary having been in the hospital all weekend; but we are returning home today and paying someone to stay with her mother while we are gone.

Nan plans to go back on Friday to stay another 3-4 days. Please continue to pray for Nan and her mother!

Bishop and Mrs. Carpenter appreciate the prayers and encouraging notes they have received during this time. They ask for your continued prayer as Mrs. Reese begins the process of healing from her injuries.
