Prayer Request for Don den Dulk, endorser for the Reformed Church in America

In an e-mail earlier this week from Jack Williamson, the executive director of the National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces and Endorsers Conference for Veterans Affairs Chaplaincy, he wrote about the Rev. Mr. Don den Dulk an endorser colleague of mine, who needs healing and a divine touch from Almighty God. Here is the prayer request:

"I just learned over the weekend that one of our dear endorsers, Don den Dulk, has very recently been diagnosed with an aggressive form of glandular cancer for which he will start chemotherapy this coming week. Don is our NCMAF Executive Committee Treasurer, and the endorser for the Reformed Church in America and a retired Navy Chaplain.

"Don has given me his permission to share this news with you. I know that he and his dear wife Kathlyn will be very appreciative of your prayer support as they face these uncharted waters."

[Editor's Comment: As I have thought about Don and prayed for him this Scripture verse has come to my mind and heart for him:

1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24,

“May God Himself, the God Who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One Who called you is completely dependable. If He said it. He will do it! (The Message, Eugene H. Peterson).

Don den Dulk is a friend of mine. Through the course of some 14 years as the endorser for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for military chaplains and VA hospital chaplains, I have met some outstanding men who love Jesus and are committed to Jesus Christ and His Church. He has a good report among our endorsers and it is little wonder that he is serving as a leader in NCMAF and ECVAC.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (KJV).
