[Editor's comment: I have known Pastor Jonathan and Pat Todd for about six years.  Jonathan succeeded Ben Rose as the pastor of the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church. Melvine and I, as well as our adult children, Greg and Stephanie, wish to express our love for Pat and her life. Whenever we are visiting Melvine's family and friends there in Eden, NC, we always endeavor to stay over for Sunday to attend morning worship there at the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church. This church is Melvine's home church and where we were married on August 13, 1960.

Pat has suffered greatly with some health issues for a number of years, and we often prayed for her healing and complete restoration to health.  No doubt she suffered far more than any of us ever realized. We want to express our personal grief and sorrow in her death. However, as believers in Jesus Christ Who is the resurrection and the life, we know that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

To Jonathan, we extend our deepest feelings of love and sympathy in his great loss. I have no understanding of what it is like to lose the most precious gift God has given a man when He gives him a good wife. Pat was a loving and gracious wife. We mourn her death, but celebrate her life and the many contributions she has made to her church and community.
