Our IPHC Military Chaplains are meeting the challenges of a Global Ministry. They go where our troops go and make the same sacrifices.
Our military and institutional chaplains are now serving all over the globe. We believe our chaplains are “…following orders, doing what God commanded when he said, ‘I’ve set you up as light to all nations. You’ll proclaim salvation to the four winds and seven seas” (Acts 13:47, The Message).
For both military and institutional chaplaincies we have established educational, denominational and other requirements so those who feel called to this ministry may qualify for serving in a branch of the armed forces–-active duty in the Army, Navy, Air Force, guard or reserves–-or in hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, colleges, schools or other institutions.

Our military chaplains have opportunity to make a spiritual impact upon the lives of America’s finest young men and women. The mission of our military chaplains is to care for the spiritual well-being of military personnel and their families, to provide for the free exercise of religion for all persons and to offer moral, spiritual and ethical counsel to military commanders. They are presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our men and women in uniform at a crucial time in their lives.

For institutional chaplains, our mission is to identify, resource and affirm the men and women serving as chaplains in hospitals, prisons, jails, nursing homes, colleges/schools, industries, clinics, hospices and other secular institutions.
