[Editor's Comment: I have known Larry Shaw since we were classmates at Emmanuel. He was a gifted and talented baritone soloist, and sang in male quartets. He was a gifted athlete and played all sports. Over all the intervening years since the early '50s, we have remained friends. He and Joyce, his wife, were supporters of Hugh's News and gave generously to help me with this ministry.

Larry and I both play the trombone. He was taking trombone lessons from the best trombone player at Bob Jones University, and sent me some fabulous trombone arrangements of Christian songs and hymns.

Larry Shaw will always hold a special place in my life as one who was a devout follower of Jesus, who knew how to pray and trust the Lord Jesus Christ.]
