I am happy to announce that the latest digital IPHC Experience, the September 2010 issue, can be read on the Internet. It is located at www.iphcexperience.com.
It is an awesome edition with lots of current news, photos, and information about reaching youth.
I discovered that by clicking on the Single Pages, you can download the magazine faster and with ease. Articles include: "How will we reach today's teens," "Seven Steps to a Youth Revolution," Emerging Voices--"Meet Stacy Hilliard."
Presiding Bishop Ronald W. Carpenter has an exciting article entitled, "The Gospel Really Works." In the article he carries out his theme or vision for the IPHC and that is "demonstration" of the Gospel. Youi will want to read this one for sure. He is an exciting writer as well as a preacher.
The executive editor of IPHC Experience, J. Lee Grady, gives us a lot of news about the church. For example, He lists the changes in conference leadership. The title is "Bishops Pass the Torch." Let me see if I can remember them: David Stephens, Ken Kingrea, Clifton Smith, James McKenzie, Ron Lawson, Ron Moore and Paul Clark.
There is a page on Faith Commitment with a number of photos of our missionaries and their families.
I was especially interested in the article, "Hawaii Church Launches Youth Outreach." It's about the ministry of Greg and Joan Hood at Life Church in Kailua, Hawaii. Melvine and I, along with Navy Chaplain Timothy Moore, his wife, Pam, and son, Joseph, attended a Sunday morning worship service when we were visiting in Hawaii with the Moores at Pearl Harbor a few months ago.
Then, there is a section on new books. One is by Kristen Dayle Scott Welch. The other is by Dr. David Hopkins.
Lee Grady is an exceptional writer. You will want to read his article entitled, "When God Requires Ricky Obedience."
The graphic and web design is first class.
Although I enjoy having a printed magazine, I find it easy to read it on the Internet. Either way, I like it. However, my choice is a printed magazine. That statement reveals that I am a chronologically gifted person who likes a printed page.
