I was delighted on Monday, December 22, 2014, to receive a video teaching about Advent in the Old Testament by Dr. John Oswalt, a former classmate of mine at Asbury Theological Seminary.
John went on from Asbury Theological Seminary to earn his doctor's degree and came back to Asbury Theological Seminary to teach. Later, as I recall, he served for a season as the President of Asbury College, which now is an university.
The question that was posed to Dr. John Oswalt was, "Is Advent in the Bible?"
You will thrill to listen to this great man of God who is an evangelical scholar in the Wesleyan-Armenian tradition explain the theme of the promise of Advent throughout the Old Testament. The series is called, "Seven Minute Seminary." To see and hear Dr. John Oswalt you may Click Here.
I guarantee that you will thrill to hear Dr. John Oswalt teach. He articulates God's Word in a clear, comprehensive and compelling way. He is a great Old Testament scholar who makes Advent come alive with freshness and deeper meaning.
It is my prayer that Advent Season will quicken your spirit as you contemplate the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem of Judea, and look forward to His coming again to catch away His bride, the church.
