My son, Clayton has produced and directed a full-length feature film / documentary on the life of my father, Rev. J.L. Tramel. My dad was an ordained minister in the Heartland Conference of the IPHC. He was the greatest man that I ever knew. He and my mother preached and sang all over Oklahoma and surrounding states for half a century. pastoring the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Purcell, Oklahoma at the time he went to be with the Lord in 2007.
The film: "Tell Me a Story: the Life of J.L. Tramel" will be playing five times daily from November 11-17 at the Harkins Theatre in Bricktown in Downtown Oklahoma City. Viewers will find this movie heart warming, hilarious, and inspiring. Almost everyone who sees this will think of someone they know because my Dad's story is really the story of thousands of Pentecostal preachers who are "unsung heroes" of the faith.
Below is a trailer for the film as well as a link to the theatre website where tickets may be purchased in advance. (They are also available at the box office, but online may be a good option if people are coming from a distance or with a group.) DVD's of the movie will be available after the first of the new year.
