Franklin Springs, GA-- The Emmanuel Men's Basketball team ran the court on Carver College in the NCCAA Regional Championship. The Lions defeated Carver College with a final score of 70-79. Austin Greene led the Lions in scoring with 15-points. He was followed closely by Kurtis Robinson, Zach Lillie and Ronnie Stanley, all scoring 13-points. Ronnie Stanley snagged the most rebounds for the team.
Emerson McClung started off the first half with two free throws due to an early foul from Carver College. Zach Lillie had a huge block leading Ronnie Stanley to score his first 3-pointer of the game. Zach Lillie turned around and cleared his first 3-pointer. Emerson McClung was back at the foul line to shoot two and made them. Bringing the Lions up leading 9-13 was Zach Vess with a free throw. Carver College was handing out fouls early as Zach Lillie and Austin Greene were fouled next. Ronnie Stanley was on fire and came through for the Lions with back-to-back 3-pointers. Colton Collins made the next 3-pointer with an assist by Jack Fitzpatrick. Zach Lillie charged down the court with Colton Collins to clear his second 3-pointer. Kurtis Robinson added two points and was fouled on the shot.

The Lions were only up by four, but came out ready to gain a bigger lead. Zach Lillie got the second half started with a layup. Austin Greene followed with his first 3-pointer of the game. Zach Lillie put up a layup and then stole the ball from Carver. He charged down the court to set up Ronnie Stanley for his fourth 3-pointer. Colton Collins was fouled and made both of his free throws, bringing the Lions up 43-49. Kurtis Robinson made a layup and was fouled on the shot. He added one extra point to the board. Colton Collins sank his second 3-pointer of the game. With eight-minutes left, Austin Greene cleared his second 3-pointer. Zach Vess snagged his own offensive rebound to put up two points. Coming out from a timeout, Emmanuel set the ball up nicely for Zach Vess to dunk perfectly over Carver College. Kurtis Robinson stole the ball from Carver to help Derek Vandiver score yet another 3-pointer. This brough the Lions up 54-72. Carver College began to hand out fouls left and right. Ronnie Stanley, Austin Greene, and Jack Fitzpatrick were all fouled and made their shots. Austin Greene was fouled once more. Austin Greene snagged a defensive rebound with 8-seconds left, which would end the game.
