FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA--For the past 14 months, Emmanuel College has been under its regularly scheduled accreditation review with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. A decision by SACSCOC regarding the College’s status has been made, and the administration is pleased that Emmanuel College continues to be accredited. In reaching this decision, SACSCOC determined that Emmanuel is compliant with all accreditation standards in all non-financial categories. However, due to some remaining financial issues that are still being addressed, the College has known that one of two sanctions might accompany the SACSCOC decision, namely Warning or Probation. The College was placed on Warning status, the lesser of the two sanctions.
“Warning status provides the College with more time to address the remaining financial challenges on which this decision was based,” President Ron White said. “The College’s financial condition is significantly improved and we are confident that the remaining issues can be addressed with the period allowed.”
[Editor's Comment: Let us as a body of believers who read Hugh's News and Commentary daily lift our voices in one accord on behalf of Emmanuel College. This is God's world, and He holds the wealth of this world in His hands. There are those who millions who would like to invest their wealth in young people and in a Christian liberal arts college like Emmanuel. Some of these people with an abundance of money would like to live in a college community like Franklin Springs. I know of a home, a large and expensive home that is on the market for sale. It is ideal for this family who is interested in Emmanuel College. I sense in my spirit that this is the home they have desired.
There is no greater investment than in youth. The youth who attend and graduate from Emmanuel College are equipped to make a difference in their world.
May God grant financial relief and freedom for Emmanuel College and give them a college that is debt free.]
