Jackson pastored the East Lake Pentecostal Holiness Church during the time he attended Howard College (now Samford University) in Birmingham, AL. The Presley brothers conducted a revival in that church and they invited me to play my trombone with them. That was big stuff for me. I was in about the 8th or 9th grade, and to be asked to play my trombone with talented musicians like them was a confidence building experience for me. They invested in my as a teenager, and were not aware that one day I would play trombone in the United States Marine Corps Band at Quantico, VA, for three years, 1953-1956,
Well, I have maintained my friendship with all three of the Presley brothers. Jackson and Charles are both deceased.
Jane Presley, Moody's wife has written me and requested that I mention that Moody would like his friends to pray for him. His health is in decline. He has put everything in God's hands. It is difficult for him to talk and hard to understand him sometimes but he is aware of everything you say. He will be 90 in October and has had a blessed life.
Recently, Moody had a vision of heaven and of Jesus. Moody has been hospitalized a couple of times recently, but now he is home. They are blessed to have home care.
Please join me in prayer for Moody Presley and of course, his dear wife, Jane. They are subscribers to Hugh's News and support this ministry on a monthly basis.
