Laura Marlowe, an Emmanuel College graduate, has a restaurant in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I happened to pass it on the way to school this morning. Her restaurant is the Little Barn. Laura and her husband Bill, also an Emmanuel graduate own the eatery. They serve delicious biscuits for breakfast and fantastic barbeque for lunch.
In the spirit of Christianity regarding the college football national championship her restaurant sign today read the following:
Congrats Bama! I was especially impressed by her sign because my father and I were both born in Alabama, but we have lived in Georgia for a long time. Usually we do not have a problem with Alabama beating Georgia, or Georgia beating Alabama, because under normal circumstance Alabama and Georgia only play once every four years. So, the sign that Laura had today on her marquee really sums up how I feel.
Proud of Our Dawgs Congrats Bama I was especially impressed by her sign because my father and I were both born in Alabama, but we have lived in Georgia for a long time. Usually we do not have a problem with Alabama beating Georgia, or Georgia beating Alabama, because under normal circumstance Alabama and Georgia only play once every four years. So, the sign that Laura had today on her marquee really sums up how I feel. Seriously though, as brothers and sisters in Christ, we should mourn with those who mourn, and rejoice with those who rejoice.
Think about it,
Greg
