Empowering leaders around the world is key to world evangelization.
MicroBusinesses are helping leaders break free from the "poverty trap" and are creating platforms of influence from which to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God!
Jamie and Jessica Dunning have been working in Ethiopia to establish MicroBusinesses.
Recently, Jamie reported:
"We started last year with 15 applicants (mostly Pastors) each receiving a loan of $300.
--The majority started cattle rearing projects....where they buy small calves, raise them for nearly a year, and then sell the large cow. Each person has been able to make their money back, plus some, and most are now in their second cycle, some have even added sheep as well.
--One applicant started a small shop business in his community.
--One applicant started a chicken/egg business and it is doing quite well. They have expanded already.
--One applicant started a sewing project as well as producing "Ayibe" an ethiopian cheese.
--One pastor started a small barber shop in his town
The great news is that all are running successful businesses that are generating extra income for their families. The income is assisting with children's school fees, and other family needs."
