Now, I really know what is going on with the many changes in our lifestyle. I do not have the problems I thought I had. This Lighten Up With Laughter was about Seenagers. Thanks for this writing.
[Editor's Comment: Mary and Leonard Firebaugh are dear friends of ours. They were members of our church in Richmond when I was the senior pastor of the Richmond First Pentecostal Holiness Church. I remember one day Dr. Vinson Synan called me and told me that his brother, Joseph A. Synan, Jr., was dying in the Veterans Hospital in Richmond. He wanted me to go and pray for his healing. Unfortunately, I was about to walk out of the door to drive to Fayetteville, NC, for the Solemn Assembly called by Bishop B. E. Underwood, and I had people going with me.
I called Leonard Firebaugh and asked him to fill that request. Leonard did go, and minstered to Joe Synan who needed a heart transplant. Leonard prayed the prayer of faith and God raised up Joe Synan to live and to become our church organist. Joe was a gifted Pentecostal organist. He was brilliant and had a vocabulary far above mine. He and I bonded as friends, and we remained friends until he eventually died and went to glory. His wife, Lee, was a precious lady, too. Melvine and I loved her.
Mary Firebaugh is a retired R.N. She and Leonard live in Roanoke, VA, and are members of New Life Christian Ministries Church where Tony Atkinson is the senior pastor. They are marvelous people and support this ministry with their financial contributions.
