I was surprised to read the comments from William Montgomery. I remember his father from our early days in D.C. He and Paula were married in a double ceremony with my parents, Robert and Hazel Forehand Robinson, by Dr. Paul Beacham in Greenville, SC in 1924. My dad, Robert Robinson, followed Brother Montgomery at The Publishing House (now Life Springs) in 1949. Small world.
[Editor's Comment: Where else will you get such historic stories about people who have served our church in years gone by. G. H. Montgomery was a household name when I was growing up. It is good to get connected with his son William and to have Janice Robinson Russ write about the history of her parents and William Montgomery being married in a double ceremony by the late Dr. Paul Beacham.
I would like to ask William if he lived withe his parents in Tulsa when his dad worked for Oral Roberts as the editor of his magazine?
Lonnie Rex tells me that he, i. e., Lonnie, went to work for Oral Roberts in the 50's, and G. H. came the next year. He said he enjoyed working with G. H. Montgomery.]
