Excellent post. The songs in most hymnals have stood the test of time. Most of the new songs are here today and gone tomorrow. The hymns I sang as I grew up are part of the soundtrack of my life. Some of the songs that we sing off the wall are just that, "off the wall."
We need to keep the old hymns as well as sing new songs. There is hardly anything more beautiful than a Gospel song sung in four part harmony.

He is an excellent musician, plays piano and has a lovely solo voice, is a well-prepared Bible teacher and a good preacher. The Milligans are faithful people and a family you can always count on.]
