Dear Dr. Hugh,
First of all permit me say a hearty "Thank You" for your letting Hugh’s News subscribers know about Marguerite’s going in for surgery. Today’s news is much better (Friday). I brought her home this afternoon in our Accord.
The surgery was a great success. The surgeon found that the 'ball in the ball’ in her hip socket had worn out and partially broken. He put a new head/ball on the top of the rod/shaft that was already in her left leg bone. He repaired or put a new lining in the socket. She was up and walking a bit Monday evening. She had several types of therapy exercises and is walking some every couple of hours. Tomorrow a therapist will come to the house for her therapy. This will be done here three times weekly. Later more therapy will take place in their facility near the hospital.
I was amazed to know that Patewood Memorial Hospital in the Greenville Hospital System has been ranked number "19' in the USA in orthopedic work.
They are really efficient and congenial.
Kindly continue to pray for both of us. We wish to continue to visit the churches to promote the ministry in India, Western Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
Gratefully yours and HIS, Hobert Howard
(P.S. Kindly condense the info if you wish to mention it in Hugh’s News.)
[Editor's Comment: I highly respect Hobert and Marguerite Howard. They are my elders, and the Bible instructs us to honor our elders. Hobert is an excellent communicator and he and his wife's service and ministry to the people of India for some 60 years in phenomenal.
Let us all rejoice in God's care of Marguerite during and following her surgery last Monday. I want to thank Hobert for his excellent follow-up message and his appreciation to all of us who prayed. May the days just ahead be glorious and productive for the healing of Marguerite's hip. May the good Lord allow her to walk much better.]
