I guess as everyone progresses in life we go from one thing to another, usually thinking nothing of it. For Hugh Morgan, he will be going from the hospital straight to rehab. The good news is that he is eating, still totally free of that wretched stomach pump. More good news is that he is going to The Oaks to recover. You may recall that The Oaks is near Christian Life Worship Center in Athens, dad’s church. So, once again, thank you for your prayers.
As far as we know, dad will stay at St. Mary’s until Monday morning, Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the U.S. Then he will transfer to The Oaks to begin his treatment. I believe that dad will do quite well there. He is highly motivated and does everything the physical therapists tell him to do, so I think that he will be finished in record time. I’m speaking by faith, but I am confident.
Oh, by the way, one of the many doctors who have visited dad’s hospital door heard of dad’s dream of eating a gallon of vanilla ice cream. He kindly had one of the precious nurses fix him a small cup full. I was touched. I am looking forward to the day he will be fully recovered. He has told me for at least a couple of years that he has been in constant pain. He now says he is pain free. That’s a miracle in itself! Praise God! I’ll be keeping our readers posted.
Many blessings,
Greg
