Please join us Thursday, April 20 as the Emmanuel College Music Department hosts their Spring Chorale Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Taylor Chapel.
The Chorale will perform pieces from several genres including Classical, Sacred and Musical Theater.
Senior Music major, Bethany Waldick will be a featured soloist in Mozart’s “Laudate Dominum” from Vespers solenne de confessore and nine other students will have short solos in a medley from Les Miserables.
Accompanying the Chorale will be Dr. Emma Pettyjohn on piano, Dr. Leslie Boucher on violin, and Dr. Deborah Herring serving as the Chorale director. The concert should last approximately an hour.
Dr. Deborah Herring encourages everyone to take advantage of this great opportunity not only to attend a free concert but support EC’s Music Department.
“The Chorale has prepared an impressive program filled with beautiful texts, diverse languages, skillfully crafted harmony and contrasting musical styles,” Dr. Herring said. “The audience is sure to be educated, entertained and inspired.”
