Ken Phillips, Director of Men's Ministries at Christian Life Worship Center in Athens, GA, is delighted to announce that Dwayne Scott, a former coal miner who left coal mining and later ran printing presses for the Athens Banner Herald Newspaper, will be our guest speaker on Saturday morning, June 24, at 8:30 in our Fellowship Hall, known as Stephanie's Place.
Every man is invited to bring a friend. There will be a drawing at the close of the meeting when excellent men's gifts will be awarded.
Dwayne Scott was born and reared in Stone Coal, KY. He was destined to be a coal miner. That is what the people did in that coal mining community. However, God had other plans for Dwayne.

Dwayne Scott has been married to Brenda Scott for 30 years. Brenda is financial analyst for a major health care system in our state. She is one sharp lady.
God has blessed them with four children: Ashland, Candice and Billie Scott all 24 years old (triplets). They also have a younger daughter Beth who is 20 years who is married and has a one-year old son, Tucker.
Dwayne was a previously Licensed Minister of the IPHC. He served as Associate Pastor at Trinity Life Chapel in Geneva, IN. Dwayne and his wife have taught Adult Sunday school and led the Children's church. They are currently attending the Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church in the Sandy Cross Community near Franklin Springs where Bert Synan is the pastor. Bert is the son of the late Vernon Synan (twin brother of Dr. Vinson Synan) and his widow, Phyllis Sparks Synan.
You may enter the room from the parking lot adjacent to a lovely rose garden in full bloom on the lower level of our church education wing.
You will enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared and served by our Master Chef, Randy Jackson. He always prepares a delightful breakfast that will satisfy the hungry appetite of any man. More important than the food, is the fellowship and communications of men who love the Lord Jesus Christ and who have placed their trust in Him for salvation.
For those attending our church from out of town, Christian Life Worship Center, formerly Tarkenton Memorial Church, is located one mile north of the Athens Perimeter or Loop 10 (Exit 14), just off US Highway 129.
The address of the church is 125 Kathwood Drive, Athens, GA 30607. All men are invited. Come and bring a friend.
