Emmanuel College is excited to announce Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee President, Dr. Frank Page will be speaking at the John W. Swails Center on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at 11 a.m.
The college invites community members, alumni, and friends of the college to join us as Dr. Page speaks to the students of Emmanuel College during chapel service and then addresses a group of local ministers at a luncheon that follows.
As the President of the SBC Executive Committee since 2010, Dr. Page travels throughout the US, speaking to groups and encouraging Baptists everywhere to participate in the task of reaching men, women, and children with the life-altering message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Dr. Page served in pastoral ministry with his wife, Dayle for 35 years from Texas to Georgia. While serving as pastor of First Baptist Church of Taylors, South Carolina, he also served a term as president of the Southern Baptist Convention.
He has authored several books including The Nehemiah Factor and The Incredible Shrinking Church. His greatest passions in life are telling others about Jesus, spending time with family, serving others in the name of Jesus, and preaching the Word.
Dr. Ron White, president of Emmanuel College, is thrilled to have Dr. Page on campus.
“It is so fitting for someone of his stature and influence to help us kick off a new academic year,” Dr. White said. “There are many of the Baptist faith among our students and faculty, and I’m sure they will be delighted to hear from such a great leader of the church.”
To RSVP for the luncheon please email Shanterrian Harland at sharland@ec.edu or call 706-245-7226 ext. 2863.
