Tonight is the last night that my dad, Hugh Morgan, will be staying at St. Mary’s Hospital. Before mother and I left tonight they brought his supper up. They served him meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll, and pudding. I am so thrilled that he is eating real food now.
Tomorrow morning mom and I will take dad from the hospital to his rehab center. I am glad that I will be off tomorrow for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. I look forward to going to The Oaks, on the same street as our church. The facility is about 14 miles from our house, so that is really nice too. I know that dad will do everything that his therapists will have him to do.
At this point he gets winded a lot, and he needs to stand up straighter, at least that’s what I’ve heard the physical and occupational therapists say. So, just continue to pray that dad will progress totally while he is in rehab. I will continue to keep you posted.
Blessings,
Greg
