I am happy to announce the new pastoral appointment of Pastor Terry Kesling for Christian Life Worship Center (CLWC). Terry and Pam Kesling will begin serving this congregation on July 12th. Carissa and I plan to attend their first Sunday on July 16th and will have the opportunity to conduct an Installation Service for the Keslings. Pastor Kesling will bring the Sunday Morning Message.
Pastor Kesling recently retired with over 25 years of service, the last 20 on Active Duty as an Army Chaplain with endorsement from the IPHC. Pastor Terry and Pam Kesling come to Athens with a wealth of knowledge, giftings, and a passion for the ministry at Christian Life Worship Center and in the Athens, GA area. We are excited about the potential for both the church and the Keslings.
I’m also very thankful to Interim Pastor Matt and Rachael Adams for their faithfulness at Christian Life for the past 9 months. They have been a tremendous help in assisting the church during this transitional time.
Sincerely,
Bishop Tim Lamb

[Editor's Comment: The long time of waiting is almost over. We have been blessed to have an interim pastor for over nine months. Last Sunday we said our goodbye to Pastor Matt and Rachel Adams and their two daughter, Lydia and Hannah.
This Sunday we will have a breakfast to welcome Pastors Terry and Pam Kesling. The breakfast is at 10, and just for this Sunday only we will not have Sunday school, but Arlette Revells will bring a heart-stirring message. The Keslings will be with us for the long haul. A new and fresh start will occur this Sunday, and we pray for a smooth transition for our new pastors. Terry has been an Army chaplain for more than 20 years on active duty. They have specialized in ministry to their military community, and they will make a smooth transition to their ministry in our college and university city, and the neighborhood around our church.
I would like to invite all who will to come this Sunday, July 16, 2017, to Christian Life Worship Center in Athens to our Sunday school that begins at 10 o'clock, and our morning worship at 11 o'clock. We have a class for every age group, a nursery second to none, as well as a first class Children's Church led by Pastor Matt Smith.
Our church is located at 125 Kathwood Drive, Athens, GA, 30607. It is one mile from Loop 10, the 14th Exit, Prince Avenue and US 129 to Jefferson/Gainesville. Turn to our right on Kathwood, or to your left if you are traveling toward Athens. Our church in on the left side of Kathwood Drive.
Give us an opportunity to love you and your family. We are praying that God will send us families with children and youth. We want to get our Royal Ranger Program up and running again. We want to get our GEMS or Missionettes program going again for girls. There is a place of ministry for you in our church.]
