I am grateful for Dr. Leroy Baker for the initial report, and for Edith Ely for her work to get me the basic information to give you until Dan, one of his sons, sends me the obituary.
The following information was given me by Edith Ely, wife of the Rev. Bob Ely:
Dorrance Manning will be honored for his life and ministsry at a memorial service which will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 30th, at the church Dorrance was pastoring at the time of his death (Linn Avenue PH Church located at 2632 SW 39th Street in Oklahoma City).
Dorrance wanted his body to be donated to science and then later to be cremated. The family has done that according to his wishes. So, I am not sure if they are using a funeral home or not. I have not seen an obituary in the OKC paper and I’ve searched for it on the internet with no success.
We know that Brother Dorrance Manning pastored several churches, evangelized, and served for a period of time as the superintendent of the Arizona Conference.
Dorrance Manning was known and loved by many people. He served his generation well.
We want to express our love and condolence to his family in their time of grief and sorrow.
