It is my desire to be led of the Holy Spirit, to hear His voice, and share with you what He impresses me to give to you in each publication of Hugh's News. Here is a word from Holy Scripture that I feel led to publish today:
Colossians 4:2-6
Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; 3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the Word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; 4 that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.
5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. 6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.
NASU
[Editor's comment: God is giving each of us special opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with strangers and even close friends who may not be Christians. These opportunities are called "divine appointments." Since God is giving them to us to share the Gospel, let us be bold to speak the Word God has given us with grace and seasoned with salt. It is amazing to me the many golden opportunities God gives me daily. When God opens the door of opportunity let us seize it for God's glory and the salvation of those who will listen. We can do it with the anointing and unction of the Holy Spirit. You will discover as I am that people sense it is from God to them and they will receive it in reverence of Almighty God Who has touched them with a Word of hope and peace.]
