Dad had a much better day today. He was finally put on a liquid diet which made all of us happy. He had chicken broth, Jell-O, a Popsicle, grape juice and iced tea. That would not be my choice of food, but I guess when you haven’t eaten for three days that sounds good.
Once again friends from Christian Life Worship Center in Athens, Georgia came to visit. I realized that all of the visitors today are also graduates of Emmanuel College. I thought that was interesting. Our pastor, Chaplain Terry Kesling and his wife Pam, Ken and Jeanette Phillips, and Joyce Hawkins, all came to see dad. It was great for our family to visit with them.
We still don’t know how much longer dad will be in the hospital, but we should find out tomorrow. He is supposed to have rehab for his hip replacement after he leaves. We are praying that he will go to the best facility. It depends on his insurance and the availability of any of the rehab centers in our area.
I will keep you posted.
God bless,
Greg
